"Sad Mexican Woman" - a drawing by Scott Weiland
$5,500.00 Sold Out
In June of 2014, Scott and I moved into our dream house in Laurel Canyon (Los Angeles). He was off on a tour the next day, so I unpacked our belongings alone. He returned from the tour and re-arranged much of what I had done (these things happen when two artists live together!)...including the decor of my little studio in our house. I went in one morning and found my favorite drawing of his hanging on the wall, in that room. I asked him why it was there and he said - "it's your creative space, and I know how much you love this drawing. I thought it would inspire you." An incredible gift. He was an amazing artist, i cannot impress how much I wish he had created more. Parting with this is not easy, to put it mildly. Only purchase this if you truly love him, and know I much I did (do). I have my reasons for letting it go, and I just deeply need it to go to the best home. This drawing is in his autobiography and will be received with a COA, signed by me. It is matted and framed, but the frame is slightly damaged. This drawing can be seen in his autobiography, "Not Dead and Not For Sale". The irony of that title is truly more than I can bear.
